How to apply for a Humanitarian Visa

To apply for Humanitarian Visa, you must follow the following steps (more information below):

1. Gather all necessary documents
2. Register with SCI
3. Complete the application form
4. Go to the consulate interview
5. Receive the visa

Find a Brazilian consulate in my country

1. Gather all necessary documents

  • Valid travel document;
  • International immunization certificate *;
  • Proof of means of transport entering Brazilian territory; and
  • Criminal record certificate *.
    * Not required in all cases

2. Register with the Integrated Consular System

Register with SCI. After registration, you will receive Information for the interview.

The type of Visa chosen must be “Temporary Visa III: humanitarian reception”.

ATTENTION! This procedure can be replaced by a visit to the Brazilian Consulate or Embassy.

3. Complete the application form

In the visa application process, an electronic form is filled out with the upload of photos and the necessary documents.

Read the instructions carefully and click the start new application button at the bottom of the page.

4. Go to the consulate interview

After completing the electronic filling in of the form you must print the receipt / protocol and take it together with the original documentation to the Brazilian Consulate.

5. Receive the visa

Take your passport and personal identification document to a Brazilian consulate.

The entire procedure will take 15 to 30 days.
